In this last brutal plague we see how the horror of God’s judgement on Egypt ‘passes over’ His own people. This event has real significance for Christians – as we too have had God’s judgement ‘pass over’ us through the horrific death of Jesus. Let’s not forget what it cost to save us!

The liberation of God’s people comes at a price – the Egyptians have to face God’s judgement. Plague after plague, God shows us He’s a God of both salvation and judgement, and despite how it looks, He’s got it sorted!
