we're taking our front door to the people

One the hardest things about going to church is simply walking through the front door.
So we’re taking the front door of our church to the people.
This saturday we have a stall in the Terrigal Markets.
We are literally taking everything that we usually set-up in the entry foyer of our church (including welcomers) down to the markets and hoping people will find it easier to walk through our front door.
While we’re there we will be washing people’s feet and asking if people would like to be prayed for.
Later we’ll head down to the Haven at 4pm for some baptisms and then back to Terrigal Primary for church at 6pm.
wanna hangout ?

How did it go?

far better than we ever imagined
people were really happy to walk through our front door and have a chat
at times we actually had people lining up to have their feet washed
heaps of great conversations with some very interesting people
