do I have to lift my hands in church?

no… thats the easy answer
but as we chew over philippians we are told time and time again to “rejoice in the Lord”
So, what should it look like for a Christian to express their joy in Jesus ?
Basically, we believe rejoicing is a lifestyle. We ought to be rejoicing at work, home, school and at church.
We aim to live authentic Christian lives right throughout the week that bring honour to Jesus’ name – and we do this in response to what Christ has already done for us on the cross.
But guess what happens when you get a bunch of people together in the same room at the same time who have just spent all week rejoicing in the Lord in all their diiferent areas of life? Boom ! – chances are you’ll have a vibrant gathering.
At SaturdayEV we don’t mind encouraging people to express physically what is happening spiritually in their lives as Jesus justifies and sanctifies his people.
When Christians with ridigid bodies and morbid faces tell me that they’re actually joyful on the inside but “it’s just not my personality” to get all expressive during a gathering. I simply reply – “well… one day it will be”
could you imagine anyone standing before our risen Lord Jesus on the final day with arms crossed and a disinterested look on their face ???
